From Judy Whitcomb: This is my grandfather, James Moir. The photo was taken in the backyard of his apartment at the top of Hall Street. I suspect it was taken in the late 60's. He worked as the Superintendent of School Maintenance for the city for many years. He was probably retired and in his 70's in this photo. He loved to tinker and invent things with stuff that people discarded. We still have a lamp that he "invented" from an old iron and some knick-knacks. Thanks for putting these on the web.
