I've been away from North Adams for a long time but could this be the Post Office with Saint John's Episcopal Church on the left?

It could be, but was it under renovation or something. What are the two little cubbies on both sides of the main door? That threw me.

the back of the Hoosac Street School in Adams.

It's the back of the Hoosac Street school (which is now an apartment building). THe church in the back ground is St. Stan. To the left is the old bakery which is now the Pizza House.

The two little doors on either side are for entrance to the boy's and girl's basements. The rest rooms were in the basements in the old elementary schools.

Thank you. When I stop to think about it, there are too many steeples to be St Johns in North Adams. Also there are quite a few steps leading to the door of the Post Office that are missing in this photo. St. Stans makes much more sense.
