This block has now fallen into disrepair and is slated by the city for demolition. Mass. MOCA at one time considered it for acquisition as housing for their interns, but the cost of rehabilitation was considered to be too high. Posted: 06/30/2001 Comments... Elmo Demo still barbers at the end of the street -- not full time, but there every day from Tuesday to Saturday. Posted: 06/30/2001 Comments... Posted: 09/11/2003 Comments... In my day,( 40's and 50's) that barber shop was St. Pierre's and he cut both men and women's hair...Little did he know that years later that would be the norm.
