Comments...
As part of the City's celebration for its 100th anniversary, a banner contest was held. This photo shows some of the entries. Randy Trabold was a member of the Centennial Committee so photos were taken of most of the Committee's activities. The banner "North Adams queen of the Berkshires" in this photo was designed and made by Mark Hopkins students--possibly the Girl Scout troop at the school.

Can you name any of the people?

Right on! Everything the person wrote about the Centennial Committee and the photo of the banners is correct. This banner was made by the Girl Scout Troop at Mark Hopkins and, I think, is now in the possession of the North Adams Historical Society. Each of the small rocks just outside the tunnel have the name of a member of the Troop on it....a time to remember!
