AT AGE 15 I WORKED AT STERLING STATION,.25c AN HOUR, DON HARRIS MANAGER,AND GAS SOLD AS LOW AS 9.7 CENTS A GALLON DURING SOME OF THE OLD GAS WARS. Prices averaged 11.7 to 14.7. Posted: 12/01/2004 Comments... I would guess that it's later than '68 judging by the car. It looks like the early '70's style Nova/Ventura/Omega. Posted: 12/06/2004 Comments... In the mid 50's, when I was in highschool, One of us would get our father's car for the night and we chip in .25 each for a dollar's worth of gas... to cruise Main Street a few times, go to Dairy Land for a coke and check on all the other cruisers.
