COULD THIS BE THE DEMOLITION THAT TOOK PLACE IN THE 50'S TO MAKE WAY FOR THE ARTERY ARCADE,ETC.?

If that's the case, they tore the gut out of North Adams! All those old houses that were part of our heritage are gone. Shame, shame.

Except the Daily Home which was moved up to Barth St. Quite a scene to watch going up Eagle St

As I look back, I personally feel sad that much of the early history of North Adams was destroyed..that whole area had personality, now, almost 50 years later, it's cold and bare with a big box store and tar parking lots.
