This is a picture of my father Joseph A. MancusoHe was well known for his gardens and giving much of his harvest to his friends and neighbors. He ran a small grocery store in the late twenties closed during the depression. He had a wife and 10 children. Many of them still live in North Adams,Ma. Thanks for the memories his daughter Joanne Saltamartini

This is Mr. Mancuso who helped many people who came from Italy settle in No. Adams. He had a big family but with the helpp of his wife Nicolina Filicetti opened their home to these imigrants until they established themselves. He was noted for his gardens, Loved to go pick mushrooms and a very hard working man. He worked on the railroad, Sprague Electric and Berksire Spinning Co. in Adams and Greylock. Many of his family reside here in No.Adams, His daughter Catherine Lipa still resides at the family homestead along with her son John, wife Bonnie Lipa.

This man was a great gradner, he always had many green beans and tomatoes. He would feed the neighborhood.Loves to gomushrooming. Had a wife and ten children.
