This looks like the old C-47 that I used to fly in at Stout Field, Indianapoli, Indiana in 1942. I believe that a person operating out of the airport in Bennington still has one or two and still uses them to haul freight. I believe that it has two Pratt and Whitney engines and was one of the most reliable carriers made.

DC-3, most likely, as these were available for view as late as the '90's with some still in service and some in boneyard mode.
