spring

Can you name the location?
Church St., No. Adams

Looking at the rolled up cuffs on one of the boys "dungarees", the girl's outfit,(kerchief, shoes, and length of skirt,) I would judge this pic to have been taken during the '50's. If I am right about the location, Drury High School would be right nearby. Therefore, these "kids" are probably headed for McCann Reg. Tech. High School. As for my guess about the location: Looking at the parking meter across the street, and the houses, I would say that the pic was taken from the top of the first set of steps in front of the No. Adams Public Library on Church St., looking toward Quincy St..

McCann School did not open until October 1962. As a member of the first 4 year graduating class, this I am sure of. We only went half days until January because school was not finished being built.

McCann's was not even around when this pic was taken. It is truly a 1950s pic.
