Clarkburg State Park ( Mausert's Ice Pond )

When I was a kid,we spent three days a week at the park,swimming,exploring,picnicing. It was my family's favorite summer place to be.

I've never been to Mausert's, but I've been to the Fish Pond (Windsor Lake, N. Adams) many times. A look at the Life Guard chair and the "twin" tree is a sure clue.

Mausert's Pond for sure. (That's not Florida Mnt in the background.) We caught a 55 lb. snapping turtle here and carried it all the way back to North Adams only to have my dad drive it back up there and let it go!

Mauserts was the place for me. We highschool friends went there often..I guess we didn't like the fish pond as well.
