is this the old "St. Thomas castle" on valley street in Adams? Just a guess

Didn't finish comments ! This was being built by Scottish priest I believe at the corner of Columbia and Valley Streets in Adams, as a school reminiscent of a castle in theold country. Never finished, it eventually came. WSas still there in ruins when I moved to Adams in 1962. Area was later cleared for the current senir citizen retirement center. But my memory is old so don't hold me to the facts about the Scot priest This was the object of many pictures Randy made of the Adams castle. -Charlie Hoye

Sure looks like it could be. My grandmother told me they had to tear it down before it was finished because of the sandy soil.

Charlie, I think your right! My grandmother who would be around 120 if she were alive, told me when I was a young girl that is exactly what happened.
