Storage gas tanks , Northern Berkshire Gas Co. Gas was made there and stored in these tanks.

These tanks were built and used to store gas manufactured with coal way back when coal gas was the main source. Natural gas was introduced in the 40's. I recall when natural gas service people went to all home to change out the gas jets in all gas burners to accomadate natural gas. Progress? We then were guaranteed that the source would never run out in our lifetimes. The never mentioned shortages. Who could predict?
