A rite of passage and one of the last bastions of white gloves and patent leather pumps, senior girls were invited to share tea and refreshments. Each girl was also presented with a lovely silver broach that was personalized with their monogram.

STOP!!!! How inaccurate can we get? We've been told it is NOT the Sisterhood Tea and that is NOT Mary Rosascoe! The secretary of the Catholic Daughters has the record and has told you without doubt exactly who these young women are and the occasion....

I love the comment about the white gloves and the rite of passage. I am the girl on the right and I still have the lovely silver broach, as well as the Lane jewelry chest given to all senior girls at Adams High.
